Here’s a link to the facebook event.

Just a quick update to let you know that we’ve created an event for our show on the 20th at the Varsity and a new permanent Facebook page. Facebook actually didn’t have pages for bands when we made this group, and we’ve waited to upgrade until we posted the show in order to minimize bugging all you cool peeps. We hope you all are enjoying the album and we’d love to see you at the battle of the bands!

Event for the Show

Official Facebook Page

We’ve just added a free GarageBand version of Half of None. This means that you’ll have separate bass, drum, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, and vocal tracks to play around with. Head on over to The “Download the Album” page to check it out.

You can find our recent Wild102FM interview at http://wild102fm.com/music.php

Just scroll down to find it.  We discuss how the band formed, our musical backgrounds, our distaste for MTV, and much more.

Radio Feature

For those of you in Northwestern Minnesota, be sure to tune into Wild 102 FM at 6:20 for a special 20 minute feature on The Delta Rasa including interviews and tracks from the new album.  A big thanks to Benjamin Johnston for featuring us!

We’ve gone live on the nation’s largest digital music seller!  Follow this link http://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZStore.woa/wa/viewAlbum?i=300851429&id=300851420&s=143441 to check it out!  Also, the tracks are “iTunes Plus” so the mp3’s are high quality and DRM free.

Remember, the album is still available for free at http://deltarasa.bandcamp.com, and if you do want to buy it, the cut that paypal takes out (when using bandcamp) is only 4% versus itunes’ 30%.

Whatever, we’re just trying to share the tunes however we can!

The album is out!

Well, the day has finally come!  It’s been a long journey, but we’ve finally completed our debut self-titled home-recorded album.  It might not be perfect, but for an album we produced ourselves with limited equipment and basements and closets as studios, we couldn’t be happier with the end result.

Get it for free or a price of your choosing at http://deltarasa.bandcamp.com/

You can also find the album on thesixtyone, last.fm, AmazonMp3, and in about four weeks, every mp3 store under the sun (including itunes!)

We will be playing the Dinkytowner Battle of the Bands on November 9th.  The actual show is from 4:00-10:00, but we don’t go on until 7:00. Tickets are $10 at the door and $8 if you buy them directly from us before the show. If you’d like to buy tickets from us, just contact us by email at deltarasa @ gmail.com.

You can find the facebook event here.

Summer News

Just a quick update.  Though we’re hard at work on the new album, we will have only one scheduled live appearance this summer.  We will be performing at Prairiestock sometime in mid August with fan favorites Ahmikron and Electric Love.  In the meantime, production will continue on our debut album which is expected to be finished sometime around the end of the summer.  Until then, Rasa out!
